Hello and welcome to our Wish List for Trillium Health Partners!

Thank you so much for considering donating to our programs. As child life specialists our job is to provide opportunities for education, play, and normalization for children and families experiencing hospitalization, illness, injury, and trauma. Donations made to our program will be shared among inpatient and outpatient areas serving children and their families across all of Trillium Health Partners. This registry can be used as a platform to purchase a specific item for the program or as a guide if you prefer to go out shopping in-person.

Items on our wish list will be used for a variety of purposes. For instance; a simple canvas can be used for a bedside activity for a child stuck in isolation, for footprints of a newborn baby, or for creating a family tree with handprints when a loved one may be dying. Rattles and shakers can be used for engaging infants and toddlers in positive stimulation while they are in the hospital, for distraction during a painful medical procedure, or for a patient with cognitive impairments that may respond best to music.

When a patient or family is stuck in the hospital for a special milestone like a birthday or holiday it is important that those are celebrated properly. Anything from wrapping paper to noise makers, from streamers to tiaras can be used to celebrate these occasions!

Gifts from incredible donors like yourselves are used daily for infants, children, teens, and their families experiencing a wide range of events that can come with a medical experience. These items serve not only as a distraction, but as a way to ensure that negative events and even trauma can have a silver lining.
