MBSC Library — Library Book Registry

School libraries matter because they can help every member of our school community — students, staff and families gain new knowledge, skills, and dispositions for learning and personal development that they will use throughout their lives.

We would love to grow our selection of books, games and audiobooks on offer here at the Mount Beauty Secondary College Library to improve how we can match the right reading experience to the right student.

To encourage and foster reading for pleasure we ask our students and staff regularly for feedback - "What do you like reading?", "What kind of books would you like to read in our library", "Do you prefer audio-books?", "What new board game would you like to play at lunchtime?".

If you are able to help us grow our library - we would gratefully appreciate it. Please see our gift list of books/games that have been selected by students and staff. Through this online registry you can purchase a book/game online and have the item sent directly to our School Library. You also have the option to buy the item elsewhere (maybe it's cheaper/easier for you to purchase at Kmart or Dymocks? We don't mind at all!). If you click on the book you can let us know that you bought it elsewhere so it can update our gift list. A note will be placed in all books with the donor's name and message (or it can remain an anonymous gift). The gift of a book or game might be a lovely gift from a parent, grandparent, relative, ex-student or community member. It is a wonderful way to stay in touch and have a direct, positive impact on our whole school community.
