First Place for Youth is gathering Holiday Gifts for Alameda and San Francisco County foster youth (18-25) enrolled in our My First Place™ program. My First Place™ assists and supports their transition out of foster care to enriching, thriving, independent adulthood.

Our Gift List comprises items requested by youth and, for those who are young parents, their children. Personal gifts turn apartments into homes, help achieve career or education goals and support healthy, happy, enriching lives. Most importantly, your gifts remind youth that they are cared for by the community.

DELIVER / SHIP GIFTS FOR RECEIPT BY DECEMBER 5th

All donations must be received at our Oakland, CA office by December 5th to ensure timely distribution during our annual Holiday Reception. Founded in 1998, First Place is an Oakland, CA based 501c(3) nonprofit which assists and supports young adults as they transition out of foster care. Our My First Place™ program serves 500+ youth (ages 18-25) six California counties (Alameda, Contra Costa, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Santa Clara, Solano). We also serve youth Massachusetts, Mississippi, New York and Ohio in collaboration with network partners.
