Our story is still continuing and we hope you will be there for one of the biggest chapters of our life; our wedding day. I don’t know when our first chapter started but I can tell you we’ve known each other since middle school. We were both in the same group of friends, but truth be told we hated each other. We reconnected after graduation and really hit it off.
How did we start dating?
For my 21st birthday Austin took me to my favorite place the Indianapolis Art Museum. He was cheeky and told me he had never went and couldn’t find anybody who wanted to go with him. Little did I know he had reached out to our mutual friends telling them if I called and asked if they would go they had to be busy.
This would be our first official first date. He even got me a “birthday” present of a dragonfly pin that he must have seen me looking at.

When and where was the proposal?
We were in Bloomington I wanted to look at this little crystal shop. Austin knew there was a ring shop right above so he told a friend to keep me distracted, and he ran upstairs and sure enough he found my engagement ring. He was worried it wouldn’t fit so that night when we were watching TV he told me to close my eyes. He grabbed my hand and put the ring on. I made a joke about “Are you sure you want to put it on that finger?” and he said yes.
When we went on a family vacation to Florida he waited till we were taking photos that night on the beach. My father captured a photo the exact moment that Austin proposed.
