A year or so ago , Maria and Sam met for the first time at her parents house during a casual Sunday dinner, a first between the families! They hit it off, spending most the evening engaged in conversation that was more suited to old friends than a newly introduced couple. Their friendship continued to blossom which led to their first date a few months later.

For their first date, Sam thought he'd take Maria out for Laser Tag... but they landed at the Midwest Shooting Center instead. Talk about a first date! Maria was a little uncomfortable with the AR, but after a few mags, she became quite a shot! For dinner, they went to Oley's pizza, a Schroeder fav. Maria has to admit, it certainly has the best stuffed pizza she's had to date!

On September 3rd, after a five month courtship, Sam took the love of his life to the beautiful Lakeside gardens of Fort Wayne. He offered his hand and Maria readily accepted it with tears in her eyes! This took place in the presence of Maria's family, who were so happy for the opportunity to participate in the event.
