John and I met through work. My son Charlie starting working for John and after I met him I had a crush on him for a year finally asking him out March 17, 2023.
I had seen him at a site visit that day, he was crawling down through tunnels and taking some photos for me of the site. I came back to the office that day and told Diane I was going to message him. I sent a text "I am not sure if this is appropriate or not or if you are married or single? But would it be ok if I asked you out?" His "first" response was telling me how thick the concrete walls were etc... His 2nd response a 1/2 hour later was "I am not married, I am single, I don't care if it is appropriate or not and we should talk"

He literally took my breath away, John was oblivious to the fact that I had a crush on him for a year.

John proposed when we he took me to the mountains to cut down our 1st
Christmas Tree. I walked over to where he was already cutting the tree, I was video taping when he handed me the sawzall. I saw there was a little black bag hanging from the tree. It was super windy, thought it was a mitten stuck or something. After the tree fell, he said "there's something in there" I looked up at him and then he asked me to marry him. All while this is happening Marshall was right there wondering what was on the tree Carla is trying to call him back as she knew John was proposing. Carla had Ginger ale in champagne glasses and toasted us. That final touch totally made my day. Proposal was caught on video
