We both started working together at the Royal Botanical Gardens back about 6 years ago, Jake was 18 and I was 21. At first Jake was into me but I didn't give him the time of day... When we were off at separate schools he would text me on occasion and I didn't think anything of it. The next summer when we started working at the RBG again we where paired at the same garden. From that point we got very close! We would talk for hours about anything! We knew it was meant to be, and the rest is history.

We had a day planed back in August 2020 to go walk around the RBG to see the gardens and to go see our old friends. Back when we started dating we worked at the Rock Garden. We went to that garden last; Jake seemed a little nervous, which I didn't understand at first. We went up to the waterfall and Jake suggested we take a picture on the GoPro, but instead he took a video. Then he pulled out the ring! I was so surprised and happy! Best day ever!!
