How did we meet?
How else do people in their 40's meet? Online. While traveling to San Francisco, California with his oldest son he had a layover in Atlanta, and my profile popped up. He took the first step and sent a message. We texted the whole weekend, talked on the phone, and the very next week, he said "I'm coming to Atlanta to meet you!" He came into town, we spent the entire week together, and I knew he was the one. I flew down to Clearwater to spend the weekend. He came back up for the summer a month later and we spent the entire time together. When he left, I knew I didn't want to be without him. I made the decision to move to Clearwater. The rest is history.
Was it love at first sight?
We definitely connected on so many levels prior to our first date. It was definitely love at first sight, for me. He had some emotional healing to do, and 3 years later, here we are. One of our favorite songs is "Bless the broken road" by Rascal Flatts.
When and where was the proposal?
Christmas day December 2019. Sean went around the room, starting with his parents, and had a speech prepared for everyone present about how important they are, how kind, loving, and how he wouldn't be where he is without them. Next were his children, and lastly me. He had me in tears, and then opens the drawer next to the couch, and out comes a ring box. He got down on one knee and asked me in front of everyone. Of course I said "YES" and little did I know, he had asked my parents the weekend before while we were in Atlanta.
His oldest son, Andrew recorded the entire proposal. It was the best Christmas ever.
