Perspectives

Last summer, the Gardner Builders Minneapolis Culture Hub teamed up with Perspectives in Saint Louis Park to work on various projects around the family center's campus to make the area feel homier and more welcoming. Perspectives is an award-winning human service agency that aims to break the cycle of poverty, homelessness, and addiction by providing mothers and their children with secure, furnished housing, mental and chemical health recovery services, nutrition education, academic and social programming, and employment assistance.

During the two-day event last July, our Gardner Team and the Perspective's community members worked together to mulch and plant along campus buildings, build a pergola, lay new wood chips in the playground, reset existing pavers, build and paint a wall ball wall, assemble hockey nets and install a new basketball hoop. After a successful turn out last year, Gardner is excited to have another opportunity to work with such an amazing organization this July! One of the biggest projects involves creating a flex space that can be used year-round for meetings, after school programming, or relaxing with family and friends. Help us by donating games and school supplies that will make this new flex space a fun, comfortable place to gather and hang out.
