MyRegistry.com's patent-pending Cash Gift Service harnesses the power of PayPal to bring you the cash you need. Your guests can easily send you cash gifts using their credit card or another PayPal account.

What is PayPal?

PayPal is a secure and easy way to send money from one person to another that is available to anyone with an email address. Recipients can connect their PayPal account to their bank account, transfer their balance or just make payments from their PayPal account. Your special cash gift account with PayPal is as good as having cash!

How do my guests contribute?

Your guests will be able to easily contribute money to your Cash Gift Fund online using a credit card or their PayPal account.

I don’t have a PayPal account yet, what should I do?

In order to activate your Cash Gift Fund and start receiving contributions, you must have a PayPal account. You can either open a PayPal account now at www.PayPal.com, or do so after creating your gift registry.

Are there fees to have a Cash Gift Fund?

We do charge a minimal fee, comparable to those charged by other cash gift fund providers. The PayPal® fee is 2.5% per transaction. This fee will be deducted from the amount contributed on each transaction. Additional PayPal® fees may apply if you plan to convert money in your Cash Gift Fund from GBP currency to another currency.

Are there any fees when sending a Cash Gift?

MyRegistry.com charges a nominal non-refundable handling fee for providing the Cash Gift Fund Services and to ensure completion of the transaction.

When will I get my money?

In order to comply with PayPal’s security provisions, contributions to your Cash Gift Fund will be held for five business days before transferring monies to your PayPal account.

How do I activate my Cash Gift Fund?

To activate your Cash Gift Fund, login to your account and click Activate from the Cash Gift Fund section of your My Gifts page. You will then be asked to connect your PayPal account. Once you have connected your PayPal account, your Cash Gift Fund will display on your gift list for guests to contribute.
