Question 1

What is a Universal Wedding Registry?

Accepted Answer

A Universal Wedding Registry is a gift list where you can add items from any store in the world—online or brick-and-mortar (really!). Gifts can be products, experiences, even a Cash Gift Fund for big-ticket items. We believe gifting should be unlimited!

Question 2

Do I have to pay for a wedding registry?

Accepted Answer

You do not! There’s no charge to have a registry on MyRegistry.com. There is, however, a small transaction fee associated with a Cash Gift Fund.

Question 3

What are good items to put on a wedding registry?

Accepted Answer

Anything you want! Your options are wide open, including everything you need to set up a new home, hobby gear, even travel. And don’t be afraid to dream—a Cash Gift Fund makes group gifting easy and tasteful.

Question 4

How do I share my registry?

Accepted Answer

We have several easy ways to share your gift list with family and friends, including a customized URL, social media, eCards, printable announcements, and embedding on your personal website.

Question 5

How do I create a Universal Wedding Registry?

Accepted Answer

It’s easy! Just click on CREATE A REGISTRY above and follow the steps from there. Once you’ve created your wedding registry, you can manage it from either the MyRegistry website or our app.

Question 6

When should I start my wedding registry?

Accepted Answer

Our advice? Start early. The closer you get to your wedding day, the busier you’ll be. Friends and family will start thinking about the perfect gift as soon as they hear you’re engaged, so add lots of options, at lots of price points, as soon as you can.

Question 7

I already have store registries—can I still use a Universal Gift Registry?

Accepted Answer

Not to worry. You can sync your wedding registries with major retailers to your MyRegistry account and still keep the completion discounts, free gifts, and other benefits. Even better, as you keep adding to your store registries we’ll re-sync them automatically.

Question 8

Can I keep my wedding registry private?

Accepted Answer

You’re in control, so after you create a registry, just go into your Settings and choose whether it will be viewable by guests and/or findable on search engines.
