If you know our story, you know that we are starting from scratch after finally accepting that we may never have our own baby. After moving in 2024, I gave away almost all of the items I'd kept in expectation. (We had cared for other infants in our home and had lots of necessary things.) It was hard, but I thought I was doing something that would help bring healing. We had no idea we would find out only a year later that I was pregnant again.

We have had multiple losses since 2017, and there was another huge scare with this pregnancy in the first trimester. After in-depth consultations with my midwife and OBGYN, we found that all I need to support a healthy pregnancy is more of a hormone that my body doesn't produce rapidly enough in the first 16 weeks. It has been a wild ride since then and it still really doesn't seem real that we will be having our precious little baby girl soon.
