11 Days to the event
The Waldoboro Toy Program has changed its name and is now the Waldoboro Children’s Christmas & Winter Program! Why, you ask? Our program has become much more than a toy program!

Every year, about 135 children whose families face financial hardship are served through the WCCW Program. This year we are doing things differently, as we have learned since 2020 the hardships and challenges our families are facing have changed. This year each participating child will be given what we are calling a Box of Joy that will be geared to the age and size of the child. The Box of Joy will include new mittens, gloves, hats, winter boots, a winter coat, underwear, socks, a warm outfit, a pair of pajamas, 2 age-appropriate toys (ages birth to 13), books, and a game for the whole family to enjoy. For children 14-17 clothing and necessities will be provided in place of toys.

When a child opens a gift from the WCCW Program, we hope the child feels special and thinks: “this gift was meant for only me! I’m the first person to own it.”

Bringing this warmth, joy, and care to each child or teen is only possible because generous people donate needed items and give financially to our program.

If you would like to make a monetary donation to our program, please stop in at the Town Office or send a check to WCCW, P.O. Box J, Waldoboro, ME, 04572. Remember 100% of your donations go to the program and its tax deductible!
You’ll notice that Town Of Waldoboro has added items from Walmart and Amazon. That’s the beauty of having wish list at MyRegistry.com—our members can add items from literally any store!
