We know you’re committed to making your gift registry a valued service for your customers. As your partner, we share that commitment and work to develop gift registry software enhancements that allow you to offer the best possible experience for every customer.

Many of our retail partners have told us that showing registrants how much they’re appreciated is a top priority for 2020. Retailers felt that coming up with marketing ideas to promote incentives and rewards is easy enough. More difficult is tracking activity so that every eligible registrant is included. We also heard that the ability to gain more insight into registry activity could help guide future marketing and merchandising plans.

Introducing Registry Rewards

Our latest gift registry feature is a management system that tracks registry activity and event milestones for you. Set the parameters you want to track for key gift activities, and we’ll send you reports that tell you which registrants hit your targets so you can recognize and reward them.

Since every business is a bit different, we made the program extremely flexible. Registry Rewards lets you:

  • Set parameters to track how many registries meet triggers for four different activities as well as track event dates:
    • A minimum number of gifts added to a gift registry
    • The total dollar value of gifts added to the registry
    • A minimum number of gifts purchased from a registry
    • The total dollar value of gifts purchased (this is what rings your cash register!)
    • Event dates. This is the typical driver for a popular special discount program called completion. Completion offers are often powerful incentives for registrants to add lots of gifts. If you’re not familiar with this discount offer, here’s a quick primer.
  • Choose when to track activity and offer rewards.
    • Switch and track a different parameter whenever you like.
    • Promote the rewards as part of your gift registry marketing.

Once you set the program parameters, we’ll send reports detailing how many unique registrants have hit the trigger/s you set. You can also use this management tracking tool to review what’s going on with your registry, without offering any reward.

How to Set Up Registry Rewards

Everything you need to track key registry activity is accessible from your Dashboard. Find it under Account Settings.

Just follow these easy steps:

  • Set parameters for the registry activity you want to track.
    • You can combine parameters and require that a registry meet them all to qualify. For instance, if you track gifts added (i.e, set the trigger for 5 or more gifts added) and the dollar sales potential of gifts added (say, $500), you will only see registrants who meet both of those qualifiers.
  • Select the frequency of MyRegistry email notifications that recap how many unique registrants meet your parameters.
    • Our email report cannot contain actual registrant emails for privacy reasons; however, you can access the details from your dashboard and follow up with whatever reward you like.
  • Know that only one rewards program can be tracked at a time, but you can switch programs whenever you like. And, now worries - data is always saved for you.

How to Best Use Registry Rewards

We leave it to you: Identify which registrants respond to an enticing reward offer or track what’s going on. You can change it up to align with your overall business goals. Just be sure to talk about it and get registrants excited.

Some ideas:

  • Create a sweepstakes or contest to motivate registrants to add registry gifts, and easily identify entrants/winners.
  • Celebrate registrant event dates with a completion offer or other special shopping offer.
  • Combine purchase activity with seasonal promotions to motivate customers to shop.
