"best stroller ever"
We have had the Orbit Baby Infant System since we brought our 2 month old home from the hospital. We LOVE it and can't say enough about it. Immediately you can tell its designers had the busy and active parent in mind...from its (1) ready-to-go-right-out-of-the-box-very little-assembly-required to its (2) quick and safe installation in the car (we have had so many friends complain about how hard other car seats were to install ...and after a couple of hours of their time, they still ended up bringing it to the police station to make sure the seat was secure--and even then, the police re-positioned the car seat because its installation was wrong!) to its (3) one-handed folding stroller to its (4) smooth one-handed steering.
When I met some friends for lunch with my baby, I found that getting out of the car with infant in tow was a snap. I popped the trunk, flipped out the stroller base with one hand, picked up my baby in the car seat and dropped him into the base and we were ready to roll. The valet was so impressed with how quickly and easily we were on the move..."I really like that. I've never seen anything like it before."
As a physician who sees a lot of new parents with back pain, I really appreciate its ergonomic design. It is the only car seat on the market with side handles and the only car seat that you can drop into the seat base from any angle.
This ability to rotate 360 degrees also allows us to keep our baby facing us when we eat out at restaurants.
Oh, and the style-factor...its sleek and stylish look always gets comments and WOW's. I have yet to have an outing where I don't get asked about the Orbit Baby System.
We are so happy with our Orbit and feel so secure with its safety that we are purchasing an Orbit Infant System for my expecting sister...only the best is good enough for family.

"Nice system"
We have both the infant travel system, the bassinet and the rocker. We love all of them. It's well constructed and everything just plain works well. There are two things that aren't perfect; one minor and one relatively major.
1) Our daughter is growing out of the bassinet already at 6 months. I guess that's the price you pay for it being a reasonably handy size. While traveling we use the bassinet and rocker (it fits in a big duffel bag) as a easy to setup place for her to sleep that we can put anywhere.
2) The infant car seat is advertised as fitting well in airplanes, but in our experience it's a tiny bit too large to fit very well (or at all in some airplanes). Sitting rear facing it'll either not fit or it'll only fit if the seat in front doesn't recline; so either it doesn't work or you have to rotate it after take-off and before landing.

"The best of the best"
The system is awesome to put up and use, Great color, light weight and easy to put together. It also adjusts very easily. I would recommend it for everyone. This was a present from my wife's mother, she always gets the greatest stuff.

"Nice Stroller"
It is just nice, light and easy to use. Your service and delivery are as good as the stroller.

"NOT SAFE"
From consumer reports.com --
[Consumer Reports has identified a possible safety risk in this high-end infant "travel system" that combines features of an infant carrier, a stroller, and a car seat, and rated it "Don't Buy: Safety Risk".]
Please do not put your child at risk!

"Not for small cars"
I love this system, but I drive a Scion xA and I feel like I have to drive with my knees on the dash board. Just an FYI for those with compact cars.

"Mixed feelings....."
I live in NYC so I walk quite a bit and have to lug all my stuff around, get in and out of taxis, etc. Initially (when using the infant car seat for the first few months) I liked the stroller. It was super easy to pop into a taxi and back into the frame. I loved the panniers add ons for errands (especially the fact that you can close them for rainy days). The extra pull out extension on the canopy of the infant seat was great to fully cover the baby and shield her from the sun/weather. We transitioned to the toddler stroller seat a few months ago and ever since then, pushing the stroller is becoming more and more cumbersome. Please bear in mind that I live in Manhattan (pot holes, big curbs to get up and down from, etc.)and lots of walking. It is HEAVY! My child is 7 months and weighs a mere 16 lbs. It doesn't drive smoothly, and you certainly cannot push it with one hand. The sun canopy on the toddler stroller seat is TERRIBLE. It is flimsy and completely sheer, so it does not block any sunlight. On the plus side, the 360 rotation feature has been great when we go to a restaurant (where we can fit this big stroller to begin with.)
If you live in the suburbs and are in and out of your car and not pushing it that much, then perhaps it's a good purchase. City moms might want to consider other options.

"NOT a safety risk"
Please disreguard the review below giving this system only one star. Consumer reports were INCORRECT because the system in the crash test was NOT installed properly.
National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) found NOTHING to support Consumer Reports for the system being unsafe!
Any car seat would be unsafe if not installed correctly.

"VERY GOOD "
i really like this stroller system very light weight and very easy to use. will recommend to everybody

|
"Heavy"
It is sooooo heavy. The total weight is 40 lbs with out baby in it. That is crazy heavy
|
|
"Sandra's on Crack"
It's not heavy! The infant seat itself weighs 10 lbs and the stroller weighs 16. That means you lift a 16lb stroller out of the trunk, place it beside the car, lift the 10lb car seat with child (10-22lbs) for a total of 33lbs max and put it into the stroller. You don't have to wake the kid up to take him/her out of the car seat, you only lift the seat for like 1 minute before you get it into the stroller and ultimately, most removeable infant seats weight at least 10 lbs and they are MUCH harder to carry. Take your negative uninformed review elsewhere. This thing rocks!

"Love It!"
My wife and I are both nurses and we absolutely love this system. It is simple, easy and fast to install and use. It is underestemated how often you put in and take out a car seat of which the orbit makes all too easy. The only two complaints we have about the system are: The center tightner of the base is a little bulky and needed a towel to make it fit to our GMC Jimmy, and second sometimes we are out and about and the stroller gets more attention than our new son! I can only attibute that to it being so unique looking, while good looking babies are so common. lol.

LOVE my Orbit system. I gave birth overseas and travel frequently ( my 10 month old is on her 16th flight!) and EVERYWHERE I go in the world, EVERYONE comments on the Orbit system.
It is hands down the BEST on the market. So easy to use at the flight gate or just shopping around town. I have had a few people follow me to my car to check out the car seat system after seeing me with the stroller. They all tell me how they spent hours installing their car seats and are just amazed at how easy the Orbit system is. I reply it is also one of the safest on the market. Everything on the stroller is of the best quality (the wheels are awesome!) and designed with ease of use in mind.
It is worth every penny...and more. I say this to myself almost daily! My experience with customer service has also been exceptional. I have actually received a reply to an email question within 7 minutes! To me that is amazing! Most companies send an auto reply stating someone will contact you within 48 hours, and then the reply does not even begin to address your question. Not the case with Orbit...again, the service you would expect from this quality system.
I am anxious to get the Toddler car seat! However, I would rather wait and know that the car seat has been tested and is the safest product they can make. In the mean time, the toddler stroller seat is a great option. And even though I bought another car seat to tide me over until the release of the Orbit toddler car seat, I figure Grandma can always keep an extra at her house!
Like any expecting mother, I spent countless hours researching strollers and car seat options. After hours spent online and asking other moms, I spoke to my friend who owns a children's boutique and attends the industry trade shows regularly. She told me the ONLY system she would buy is the Orbit system. Once I looked it up online, I was sold and my search ended immediately. I have never looked back....I just LOVE my Orbit system and do not know what I would do without it!

"Great stroller and car seat! "
This is the best. It is expensive but you get a safe car seat and a lightweight, easily maneuverable stroller. My husband loves it because he can push it w/o breaking his back because of the height adjustments, oh lets not forget its not girly. There's a great tray with 2 cup holders. Yes, the underbasket is not very useful but I use it to put blankets, toys and change of clothes. I have a diaper bag that attaches to the handle so I don't really mind that there's no basket. Now our baby is 6 months old, she can still fit in the car seat comfortably but I'm thinking of getting the toddler attachment seat.

"I love the Orbit!!!"
Just brought our baby home this weekend and we are so glad we chose the orbit as our stroller system. We've received nothing but compliments on it and find it so easy to use. The swivel infant seat makes it so easy to get baby in and out of the car and we also love it's quick and easy one hand folding technique. Can't wait to start taking baby out on nice long walks. I would definately recommend this stroller. Worth every penny!!

"Perfect"
Just purchased Orbit System and find it to be exactly as advertised.

"Love the Orbit!!!!"
My husband and I love the orbit infant system. We've done a lot of research on strollers and the orbit tops our list. Its an incredibly well thought out system that combines the infant car seat with the stroller. Its the easiest car seat/stroller system around. I agree with other reviewers that its a definite plus to have a car seat that swivels making it easier to move from stroller to car and vice versa. The swiveling also comes in very handy when strolling and you want to move your baby away from the sun. We also love the panniers that can attach to the stroller. It comes in especially handy when you're out grocery shopping so you do not have to carry an extra basket or push an extra cart. Overall we've been incredibly impressed with the orbit. Its very well built and we would highly recommend it. It truly is a well engineered piece of baby equipment with parents in mind. It is definitely is worth the money.

"Love the flexibility!"
This stroller system is so easy to use and move between the car and actual wheeled base. I even use it grocery shopping instead of a cart! And the fact that i can rotate my infant away from the sun when taking walks is fabulous. I'm not looking forward to her growing out of it!

"LOVE IT"
Love this orbit stroller... especially for traveling!

"Baby isn't here yet, but..."
I LOVE THIS SYSTEM! I have tried my friends car seats and strollers and they are always to hard to figure out. This is so easy and on top of that it isn't heavy. (5'7 & 132lbs) I can't wait to use it when she gets here. I'm going to be purchasing the accessories as well! I would recommend this to anyone who wants a SAFE EASY system to use.
Only con would be price, but I'm not deducting points for that.

"BEST STROLLER EVER!"
We are from NYC and we love this stroller for many reasons. First off, we have every accessory it comes with. The carseats rotate on the base which makes it extremely easy to rear face baby. FYI RF-ing is 75% safer than FF-ing, this alone to us is worth it. The ride is extremely smooth here in NYC, given all the bumpy sidewalks, holes, etc. It folds compactly and is very light weight (I am 98 lbs and have always been extremely tiny and have no problems with it). The toddler seat has 3 positions which comes in handy as the baby grows, I have had no problems steering it with one hand and DH loves the highest setting on the handle bars, while I prefer the lowest. It has a very large canopy which shades baby from the sun all the time. I love the cargo pod on the bottom as we use it as our utility/ diaper bag (I think traditional diaper bags are corny!), and just replace stuff whenever there is the need. I am happy we got this system because I know we provided our LO with the best system out there, best materials, and enabled ourselves to keep her safer, longer. I've never met anyone in real life that was not satisfied with it, we get stopped once a week about it. If you cannot afford it, then you should get a Graco because you probably will not be satisfied. However, if you can comfortably afford it, you will not find any problems with it as it's very functional.
