I'm so nervous about everything. I guess so since I will be a first time Mom. I'm going to get this monitor so I can keep a watch at all times.

That's a good idea. I was so nervous my first time around. Just the thought of anything happening makes me crazy!

From what I hear from my friends, you don't need to start baby proofing your house until they start crawling. Until then, they cannot get anywhere without someone taking them. Relax, at least for the first few months they will be just where you place them and not be getting into anything.

My sister didn't get all of those baby latches for everything under the sun. She just rearranged cabinets, just as parents did back in the 50's before manufaturers convinced us we have to buy latches!

I agree that moving things around is a great and frugal way to baby proof. It's also a good lesson on teaching obedience, telling them that certain places and things are off limits.
