Bathhouse Studios is located in the East Village between Ave. A&B. The building was constructed in the early 1900’s. In 1904 it opened as a Free Public Bathhouse for the City of New York, which was used primarily by the residents of the Lower East Side. At the time, the neighborhood was all cold-water tenements. The building was split down the middle so that men could shower on one side and women on the other. In the mid 60’s the neighborhood went through some changes, and the era of the Public Bathhouse had passed. The building sat in disrepair for decades until the late 90’s when it was purchased from the city by a photojournalist and his wife. With some tenacity and a great vision Bathhouse Studios was born. One of the premier spaces in New York City, Bathhouse Studios offers all the benefits of a large professional event space, with intimacy you won’t find anywhere else, the perfect set-up for high-profile or celebrity events.
Our staff will cater to your every need.
