Like other Britax car seats, the Mrathon features the patented Versa-Tether® on its push-button release LATCH system providing the most security in both forward- and rear-facing positions. Highly recommended for children over 50 lbs., the Versa-Tether® anchors the top of the car seat, minimizing the possibility of a head injury. A patent-pending rip-stitch tether reduces G-force effects on the head and body in the event of an impact. The Marathon™ also offers the patented HUGS™ (Harness Ultra Guard) system which distributes webbing loads to reduce head movement and minimize the chance for webbing edge loading on the child's neck in the case of an impact. In addition, the sculpted base ensures a perfect fit in almost any vehicle, and built-in vehicle belt lock-offs make installing the car seat in your vehicle quick and simple.
For added comfort, the Britax Marathon comes with a belly pad, and a plush & washable seat cover. The Britax car seat is suitable for children rear-facing from 5 to 33 pounds or children forward-facing from 1 year old and 20 to 65 pounds.
